A Values-Led Specialist Care Provider

A Values-Led Specialist Care Provider

At Fairmont Residential, we provide specialist, structured residential care for autistic adults with high support needs. Everything we do is shaped by our belief in dignity, inclusion, and the power of person-centred care.

We work in partnership with families, commissioners, and care professionals to create safe, predictable environments where autistic people can thrive. Whether working with someone who communicates non-verbally and benefits from support to express their choices and needs, or helping someone rebuild confidence after a failed placement, our focus is always on individual strengths, and on meaningful outcomes.

Our Story, Mission & Values

Fairmont Residential was founded in 2007, driven by a belief that autistic people with complex needs deserve consistent, structured support that empowers them to live full and meaningful lives. Since then, we’ve grown into a respected, values-led provider that champions progress, inclusion, and person-centred planning.

Our mission is simple: to provide safe, nurturing, and highly structured environments that support each person’s unique communication style, sensory needs, and personal goals , while involving families and professionals every step of the way.

Highly Structured, Individualised Support

Enhanced Communication Support

Enhanced Communication Support

We use PECS and WECS (Picture/Word Exchange Communication Systems) to provide clear, functional ways to communicate. This reduces frustration, supports well-being, and helps each person develop communication in ways that match their individual strengths, including autistic people who have intermittent, limited, or no speech.

A Safe, Nurturing Environment

A Safe, Nurturing Environment

Our approach is grounded in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and underpinned by thorough risk assessments. This creates an environment where people feel safe, understood, and respected. All staff are trained in MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression), ensuring they can respond to behaviours that communicate need with empathy, consistency, and skill.
