At Fairmont Residential, research is embedded within our care delivery.
We are pleased to share our latest Research and Innovation White Paper, authored by Oliver Bilich, R and D Lead, outlining how data driven insight is improving outcomes for adults with complex autism.
Since introducing digital care records in 2024, we have recorded over 900,000 interactions comprising more than 3 million data points. This growing dataset enables structured analysis of routines, behaviours and risk patterns, supporting informed, evidence based decisions.
The paper highlights real examples of applied research in practice, including risk assessed staff optimisation and data informed medication reviews. These initiatives demonstrate how measurable insight can reduce restrictiveness, protect safety and support long term sustainability.
We are also developing predictive models using statistical and AI supported approaches, while collaborating with Professor Geoff Bird and UCL to contribute to wider sector research.
